Aircraft mechanical systems

A Category B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence permits the holder to issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) following scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including line and base maintenance, modifications, and defect rectification on aircraft structure, powerplant, mechanical and electrical systems, with limited avionic systems privileges.

Aircraft avionics & electrical systems

A Category B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence permits the holder to issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for maintenance on avionic and electrical systems, as well as electrical and avionic tasks within powerplant and mechanical systems requiring only simple tests. It also includes minor scheduled line maintenance and simple defect rectification.
